Rusty Racer is a whimsical robot with a need for speed and a penchant for the past. Constructed from a fusion of antique cast brass and machined parts to form an old-fashioned racing engine. Rusty’s body is riding on a set of vintage wheels that have clearly rolled through time. His head, a repurposed filter topped with a lightning rod, surveys the world with a curiosity that’s as sparky as its aerial. Rusty is more than a robot; He’s a nostalgic nod to the golden era of racing, a mechanical memento that carries the soul of adventure. This little racer has stories to tell, each dent and scratch on its frame a testament to the races it has imagined winning throughout the decades. Jasper Hawthorn, the creator, believes that every creation should not only have a function but also a spirit – and Rusty Racer has spirit in spades.
